East Bengal Football Club Unveils New Club Name and Logo
The East Bengal football club is all set to play the upcoming Indian Super League (ISL) 2020 season under the new name 'Sporting Club East Bengal' which is abbreviated to 'SC East Bengal'. The team, owned by the joint venture Shree Cement East Bengal Foundation, also revealed the newly designed logo. The club paved their path to set foot into the top-division league after the acquisition by Shree Cements in September.

ISL 2020-21: East Bengal To Debut This Season as 11th Team
The organizers of the Indian Super League (ISL) on September 27, announced that East Bengal Club will debut as the 11th team in the event . Earlier, the Kolkata-based Shree Cement Limited, the investors of the East Bengal Club had submitted their bid to Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL). The league is scheduled to be held in November and will take place at three venues in Goa, owing to the pandemic.
