World's Oldest Test Cricketer Eileen Ash Passes Away At 110: England

The world's oldest former Test cricketer Eileen Ash of England passed away at the age of 110 on December 4. The right-arm bowler made her Test debut against Australia in 1937 and took retirement in 1949. ''Our sport owes so much to its pioneer and Eileen was one of them,'' said Clare Connor, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) Managing Director of Women's cricket.

5th Canceled Test IND Vs ENG To Be Held In July 2022

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and the BCCI have decided to conduct the canceled fifth Test between England and India, which will ''take place from July 1, 2022'' at Edgbaston. Notably, the match was canceled due to the fear of Covid-19 infection spreading inside the camp. ''We're very pleased that we've reached an agreement with BCCI,'' said the ECB's chief executive.

IND Vs ENG: Final Test Match Cancelled Till Further Notice

In its new statement, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed following the convention with the BCCI that the scheduled Fifth and final Test has been canceled until further orders on September 10. The new decision came after considering the menace of COVID-19 for players of both countries. Reportedly, a day earlier India's support staff tested positive for COVID-19 following India's head coach Ravi Shastri and others.

British PM Johnson Unhappy With Cricketer Ollie Robinson's Suspension

British PM Boris Johnson on June 7 condemned England and Wales Cricket Board's decision of suspending pacer Ollie Robinson for his alleged historical racist and sexist comments. Johnson's spokesperson said, "These were comments made more than a decade ago written by someone as a teenager and for which they have rightly apologised." Earlier, on June 6, Robinson was banned from all formats of international cricket.

Pacer Jofra Archer To Miss Out Rajasthan Royals' IPL 2021 Run
