Karnataka Assembly Polls On May 10, Results On May 31
The Election Commission of India announced the voting schedule for the Karnataka Assembly elections. As per the ECI, the voting for the 223-Karnataka Assembly seats will be held on May 10, and the results will be announced on May 31. In 2023, The term of the Karnataka Assembly is till May 24 and a total of 5.23 crore electors were eligible to vote and decide fate of the ruling BJP.

Congress Releases List Of 124 Candidates For Karnataka Polls
The Indian National Congress is gearing up for the 2023 Karnataka Assembly elections. On March 25, the party released its candidates list and named 124 members, who will contest on the Congress ticket. As per sources, some of the major names in the list are; DK Shivakumar, Satish Jarkiholi, Lakshmi Hebbalkar, Priyank Kharge, Rizwan Arshad, Dinesh Gundu Rao,Tanveer Sait, BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan and others, for the upcoming polls.

SC Refuses To Stay Order On ECI Decision Against Uddhav Thackeray Plea
The Supreme Court (SC,) reviewed a petition filed by the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena faction, against the ECI decision. However, in a major setback to the Uddhav Thackeray-led Sena faction, the Top Court, refused to put stay on the ECI decision of giving the 'bow & arrow' symbol to the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena faction. In the hearing, the SC bench allowed the SS name with flaming torch.

Sanjay Raut On Shiv Sena Symbol Row: Shiv Sena Is Thackeray, Thackeray Is Shiv Sena
After losing the battle of symbol for Shiv Sena against Eknath Shinde, MP Sanjay Raut in an exclusive interview said, "Shiv Sena is Thackeray and Thackeray is Shiv Sena." Meanwhile, the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena filed a petition in the Supreme Court, against the decision of the Election Commission of India (ECI) which gave the 'bow & arrow' symbol to Eknath Shinde led Shiv Sena faction.

Eknath Shinde Calls For Executive Meeting Of Shiv Sena Leaders
After retaining original Shiv Sena symbol 'bow&arrow', Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde called for a major national executive meeting of the party leaders. The Shiv Sena meeting is scheduled on February 21, which will be attended by MLAs, MPs and other Shiv Sena leaders who have been working with Shinde after he called for his own Shiv Sena Party. This will be first Cabinet meeting of Shinde, after retaining original symbol.

Uddhav Thackeray Moves SC Against ECI Decision Of Shiv Sena Symbol
Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena faction moved the Supreme Court against the ECI decision of Shiv Sena symbol row. On February 20, advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi filed a petition to the bench of SC led by CJI DY Chandrachud and urged for an urgent listing of the matter. However, the Top Court refused to listen for urgent listing and asked Singhvi to file the matter on February 21, as procedure.

Uddhav Thackeray Takes Dig At Amit Shah Over 'Sena Row'
Uddhav Thackeray took a dig against Union Home Minister Amit Shah, over the ongoing 'Sena Row.' On February 19, Thackeray said, "Where was that 56-inch chest then? He was sweating." After the Election Commission of India (ECI) announced the Shiv Sena 'Bow & Arrow' to the Eknath Shinde faction of Shiv Sena, whereas Uddhav Thackeray faction needed to take new symbol for their party. The Thackeray team criticised Centre.

Will Figh Bow & Arrow With Mashaal: Uddhav Thackeray
After losing the Shiv Sena's symbol of 'bow & arrow' to the Eknath Shinde faction, Uddhav Thackeray said, they will not fight against Shinde with the 'Mashaal' symbol. Notably, on February 17, Election Commission declared the Eknath Shinde faction of Shiv Sena to have the original 'bow & arrow' symbol. "The PM thinks he can finish Shiv Sena, but Shiv Sena will never be finished," said Uddhav Thackeray.

Uddhav Thackeray Faction Stage Protest Against EC Decision
Uddhav Thackeray faction leaders staged a protest outside Matoshree in Bandra, and staged a protest against the decision of the ECI. Notably, on February 17, the ECI said Shiv Sena name along with symbol "bow and arrow" will be retained by Eknath Shinde, the CM of Maharashtra, whereas Uddhav Thackeray need to have a new name and symbol. The Uddhav Thackeray-led Sena reacted and staged a protest against Shinde Government.

ECI Allots 'Shield & Sword' Symbol To Shiv Sena Saction Of Eknath Shinde
The Election Commission of India has allotted the symbol 'Shield & sword' to the Eknath Shinde faction. The Eknath Shinde faction of Shiv Sena had submitted 'Shining sun', 'Shield & sword' and 'Peepul tree' as its election symbol options to the Election Commission of India. Of the submitted symbol, the Shinde party got 'Shield & Sword. On the other hand, the Uddhav Thackeray saction were given, torch for party symbol.
