PM Modi Promises Indian Economic Among Top 3 In His Third Term
PM Narendra Modi promised an unprecedented growth of the country during his third term in power. Addressing the public, PM Modi said, Indian economic will catapult it to one of the top three slots. Sending out a message of development and growth, he said, "From east to west, north to south, India's infrastructure is changing." Highlighting growth, Modi said, "In the third term, economy will be among world's top three."

PM Modi Talks About Economic Growth In India, Asks People, Aren't They Happy?
PM Narendra Modi took a dig at the audience for a delayed response to his remarks about India becoming the fifth largest economy in the world. Addressing National Logistic Policy's launch, Modi said, "It takes time to register positivity amid the atmosphere of negativity." He said, "Are you not happy?" The lighter remark was a taunt to people, who didn't appreciate the economic growth in India.

GDP Growth In India Slows Down To 5.4% In Q3 Of 2021-2022 FY
India's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for Q3 of current FY, slowed down to 5.4%, compared to 8.5% in Q2. GDP prices in Q3 of Current FY stands at Rs 36.26 lakh crore, compared to Q3 of FY 2020-21 which stood at Rs. 38.22 lakh crore, reported National Statistical Office (NSO), on February 28. Furthermore, the NSO also estimated a growth rate of 19.4% in nominal GDP for the year 2021-22.

India's Economy To Grow By 9.5% & China By 8% In FY22, Says IMF
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has projected India's economic growth at 9.5% in the financial year 2021-22 and 8.5% for the next financial year, making India the fastest-growing large economy in the world. However, China's GDP growth has been projected at 8% and 5.9% in FY22 and FY23, respectively. The IMF has also forecasted the world economy growth at 5.9% in FY22 and 4.9% in FY23.

Indian Economy To Grow At 7.9-9.6% in FY21
The Indian economy reportedly grew at the rate of around 19-20% in the first quarter of 2021 and the GDP for FY21 may grow at 7.9-9.6%. Besides, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) also suggested the growth for the first quarter at 21.4% and to remain at 9.5% for the whole year. However, the real picture of the GDP growth will be shown on August 31.

IMF Pegs India's Economic Growth At 9.5%
International Monetary Fund (IMF) has pegged India's economic growth at 9.5%, a 3% cut from the previous projection of 12.5% in April. Reportedly, the drop in 3% of the growth is due to the impact of ''severe second Covid wave during March-May'' in India. However, India is still the world's fastest-growing large economy followed by China at 8.1%, the US and UK at 7% each.
