Goldfish Grows Larger In Lakes Than Aquariums: Minnesota Authorities
A pet goldfish should not be released into local lakes or ponds as it grows several times than its normal size and disturbs the ecosystem, clarified Minnesota authorities in the USA. In a tweet, the City of Burnsville wrote, ''Goldfish contribute to poor water quality by Mucking up the bottom sediments and uprooting plants.'' Reportedly, 50,000 goldfish were extracted last year from local waters.
