Dream 11 To Sponsor Jersey Of Indian Cricket Squad: BCCI

Dream 11 replaced Byju's and become the sponsor for the jersey of the Indian Cricket Team. Notably, BYJU's had quit after the end of the last financial cycle and BCCI had invited closed bids for its new sponsor and Dream11, which is going to be the prominent finance investor for Jersey. "Yes, Dream11 will be the new jersey sponsor of the Indian team," said the BCCI in an official statement.

Ed-Tech Startup Raises $7.5 Million Investment As Series A-Funding

Founded by Jhunjhunwala and Nikhil Naik, the ed-tech start-up raised $7.5 million in Series A funding. The CEO said, they will use the investment to scale up and accelerate hiring across the teams in multiple geographies. Furthermore, it was recently listed by HolonIQ on its annual list of the 100 most promising EdTech start-ups from India & South Asia. The company will also enhance education for students with new investments.

Record $1.95 Bn Funds Received By Ed-tech Firms In 2020 Due To COVID-19

India's 'ed-tech' business, with big players like Unacademy and Byju's, has reported a record funding of $1.95 billion in 2020. Reportedly, the growth measured from the beginning of 2020 till present showed a 31% increase than the combined funding of $1.48 billion in the last five years. Experts have believed that the investments had increased due to an increased demand owing to the closure of schools in the pandemic.
