Tamil Nadu Polls: Ruling AIADMK Allots 20 Seats To BJP

The AIADMK has allocated 20 assembly seats alongside the Kanyakumari Lok Sabha seat to the BJP in the upcoming polls in Tamil Nadu. Earlier, the Dravidian party had designated 23 seats to its regional ally Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK). Moreover, the AIADMK had revealed its first list of six candidates comprising CM K Palaniswami contesting from the Edappadi constituency and Deputy CM O Panneerselvam from Bodinayakanur.

The AIADMK general council on January 9 unanimously authorised Edappadi K Palaniswami's chief ministerial candidature for the forthcoming Tamil Nadu elections. Tamil Nadu: CM Launches Mobile Fair Price Shops Across The State

Tamil Nadu CM K Palaniswami on September 21 launched mobile fair price shops across the state. The scheme was initially launched in the remote hilly areas of three districts by former CM Jayalalithaa. According to the scheme, a salesman from the parent ration shop will deliver the rations to people every month. Reportedly, 3,501 mobile fair price shops were announced to serve 5.37 lakh ration card holders across the state.
