Indian Muslims Celebrate Eid Across Indian Regions
Muslims across India are celebrating the festival of Eid. The festival marks the end of the holy month of Ramzan. In Delhi, people hugged each other after offering namaz at Delhi’s Jama Masjid on the occasion of Eid-Ul-Fitr. Regions like Hyderabad, Maharashtra, West Bengal also witnessed the celebration of Eid, after Saudi Arabia witnessed moon and celebrated the festival after holy month of Ramzan.

Punjab CM Capt Amarinder Names Malerkotla As 23rd District Of State
On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr on May 14, Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh named a Muslim-dominated area, Malerkotla, as the 23rd district of the state. CM Singh stated Rs 500 crore will be allocated for the development works, including a medical college after the name of Sher Mohammed Khan, in the newly-formed district. Besides, a girl's college, all-women police station and a bus station have also been announced for Malerkotla.

Indian, Pakistani Soldiers Exchange Sweets At LoC On Eid-ul-Fitr
In a heart whelming move at the India-Pakistan border, the soldiers of the two nations exchanged sweets to commemorate Eid-ul-Fitr. Following COVID-19 appropriate behaviour, the exchange was held at the Line of Control in J&K, Tithwal crossing, Kupwada Kaman Aman Setu, and Chakan Da Bagh crossing points. Notably, both nations exchange sweets and compliments on prominent festivals like Diwali, Eid, Holi and other national festivals.
