Volvo Announces To Go Fully Electrical From 2025

Car maker Volvo announced it to only sell electric vehicles, starting in 2025. Notably, the giant company announced that it would go electric globally, from 2023, whereas the sale of electric cars would begin in 2025. In electric vehicles, the company currently sells the Volvo CX40 Recharge in India and confirmed that the compact SUV will be joined by its coupe-sibling called the Volvo C40 Recharge soon.

Tata Motors Aims To Sell More Electric Vehicles In Second Half Of FY23

Tata Motors anticipates a better second half of the current fiscal year, with the carmaker aiming to sell 50,000 electric vehicles (EVs) in the fiscal year ending March 31. With double EV sales in 2023/24, the firm also looks for a significantly better supply condition and commodity price stability. Tesla Passes Homologation Stage For Its Four Vehicles In India

Mercedes To Go Full Electric By End Of 2030

Daimler, Mercedes-Benz's parent company, has decided to enter the all-electric cars market by the end of 2030 by investing more than $47 billion by 2022. The company on July 22, said that along with its partner, it will build eight battery plants, ramping the EV production. Honda Aims For Complete Transition To Electric Vehicles By 2040

Honda CEO Toshihiro Mibe has stated that the company eyes a complete shift from fossil fuel-based vehicles to electric cars by 2040. Reportedly, the Japanese carmaker will attempt to reach 40% of its overall sales via electric vehicles by 2030, 80% by 2035 and eventually reach complete transition by 2040.
