Tata Motors Launches Awaited Tiago EV Hatchback In Market, Bookings From Oct 10
Global carmakers Tata Motors launched its new Tiago EV hatchback in India at Rs 8.49-11.79 lakhs, on September 29. The newly designed car is third in the electric PV market. The bookings for the new Tiago EV will begin from October 10, with a booking cost of Rs 21,000, only for the first 10,000 bookings, of which 2,000 will be reserved for customers with two EV models of Tata.

Mumbai To Have AC E-Double Decker Buses In August
Mumbai Government is all setthe to launch first AC e-double-decker bus in the first week of August. The bus will be launched, on the BEST Foundation Day on August 7. The announcement came after the Supreme Court gave a green signal to BEST, to go ahead with the current deal of 2100 single-decker electric buses, under which 25% of buses will be procured by year-end.

META4 Enters India For EV Manufacturing Unit, Will Invest Rs 250 Cr In Telangana
A UAE-based META4 Pvt limited is all set to enter India and establish an electric vehicle manufacturing unit in Hyderabad, Telangana. Omega Seiki Joins Hand With Grip Investment For EV Manufacturing In India
Omega Seiki, an Electric Vehicle (EV) maker venture joined hands with Grip Invest, to form a strategic partnership, aiming growing EV demand in India. Under the partnership, Grip Invest, a digital platform for facilitating new-age investments, would give financial aid to 1,000 Rage+ Rapid e-three-wheelers of the company. With the funding, Omega Seiki will expand to a minimum of 5,000 EVs by December 2023.

Kia India Launches First Electric Vehicle, EV6 In India
Amid the trend of electric vehicles in India, Kia Motors India launched EV6, a new segment into the electric vehicles. Priced at Rs 59.95 lakh, the car aims for a dedicated EV platform. This is the first EV of Kia India, after its parent company, Kia Corporation announced $22.22 billion investment for operations for five years. TATA Unveils Avinya EV New Concept With 30 Minutes Charging
The new Avinya concept EV has unveiled by TATA Motors. The vehicle comes with a completely different look and features a new GEN3 architecture with a range of 500 km in under 30 minutes of charging. TPEM claimed Avinya is a machine that engineered to be smart, specious, sustainable yet techy. The design is a mixture of a hatchback, an MPV and a SUV.

Kerala Man Makes Homemade Electric Car For Personal Commute
Antony John, aged 67, a career consultant from Kerala, built an electric car to drive between his home and office for a distance of 30 km which reportedly costs him Rs 5 per day. Antony's car came at a time when fuel prices are skyrocketing and electric vehicles are in demand. Notably, John began to build the vehicle from scratch in 2018, spending around Rs 4.5 lakhs for the car.

Ola Electric Scooter Catches Fire In Pune, Video Goes Viral
Within months of launch, an Ola S1 pro electric scooter caught fire in Pune on March 26. The video of scooter burning is being viral on social media platforms. In addition, an investigation into the matter has been launched.
