Mumbai: Fire Erupts At Residential Building In Kandivali's Mahaveer Nagar, 5 Injured

A massive fire broke out at the Pavan Dham Veena Santur Building in Mahaveer Nagar in the Kandivali West area. On October 23, at 12:30 pm, fire started at level-1 fire, leading to injuries for five people.  Reports suggested, fire started due to electric wiring and installations on the 1st floor of the 8-story building. The BMC, MFB and police rushed to the spot, and started dousing work.

Regions Of Chennai To Witness Power Cut Between 9 am -2 pm, Said TANGEDCOCO

The Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) announced power cuts in various regions of Chennai, amid routine maintenance work, between 9 am-2 pm, on October 12. The authority issued a notice confirming the same in areas; Avadhi, Alamathy, Porur, Ponneri, Redhills, Tambaram, Vyasarpadi and Vanagaram. The TANGEDCO also said, power will be restored after 2 pm or before if maintenance work is completed early.

Electricity Likely To Get Costlier In Delhi Following 4% Increase In PPAC

Following a 4% increase in the Power Purchase Adjustment Charge (PPAC), electricity is likely to get costlier in Delhi. On July 11, the 4% increase in PPAC came into effect. The power distribution officials at DISCOM, stated that the PPAC is levied to bring about a balance in increasing fuel prices. Furthermore, the PPAC will be reviewed in a quarterly basis by Delhi DISCOM.

Coal Shortage May Lead Power Outage For Metros, Hospital: Delhi Govt

In view of the coal shortage, the Aam Aadmi Party-led Delhi government warned of a possible interruption of electricity supply to important establishments like metro trains and hospitals. On April 28, the Arvind Kejriwal government released a statement that read, "Due to disruption of power supply from Dadri-II and Unchahar power stations, there may be a problem in 24-hours power supply". Mumbai Faces Major Power Cuts Due To Grid Failure: BEST

Mumbai faces huge power cut due to grid failure, as per reports on Februrary 27. Several cities like, South Bombay-Chembur, to Govandi, the people have complained about the sudden electricity failure. "300 MW of power supply affected because of this transmission line tripping.
