18 Elephant Found Dead In Assam; Forensic Experts To Find Cause
To investigate the death of 18 elephants in Assam, the state authorities on May 14 conducted a post-mortem and sent the report to forensic laboratories for further examination. While the initial suspected reason is a lightning strike, experts fear that mass poisoning could also be a reason. The elephants, reported dead on May 13 at Bamuni Pahar in Nagaon district, were buried on May 14.

Madras HC Orders CBI, WCCB Probe All Elephant Deaths In Tamil Nadu
The Madras High Court has ordered the CBI and the Wildlife Crime Control Bureau (WCCB) to probe all elephant deaths in Tamil Nadu.
