5% Of Earth's Power Plants Responsible For Climate Damage: Research

A study by researchers from the University of Colorado has revealed that 73% of Earth's energy sector emissions are caused by 5% of Earth's power plants. The Researchers began their research to help climate activists determine who seems to be responsible for the climate crisis. Additionally, the researchers say that the ones causing damage to atmospheric warming are power plants clustered around Europe, East Asia, and the US.

PM Modi Says India Will Achieve Beyond Paris Agreement Targets

While addressing the virtual Climate Ambition Summit on December 12, PM Narendra Modi said that India would exceed the target of the Paris Agreement. PM Modi stated, "...I make a solemn pledge today. Centennial India will not only meet its own targets but will also exceed your expectations". Moreover, the PM added emission intensity levels have been curbed by 21 per cent in comparison with 2005 levels.
