French President Emmanuel Macron Launches Re-Election Bid
French President Emmanuel Macron said that he would run for a second term in the forthcoming presidential elections which will take place in April. Macron described the government's reforms and challenges faced by the country. France Will Hold Humanitarian Operations And Evacuate People From Afghanistan: Macron
France President Emmanuel Macron said that the country was holding "preliminary discussions" with the Taliban over the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan. France is also working on the evacuation process with Qatar to airlift people stuck at the Kabul airport, the President confirmed. President Macron said, "Whatever the Americans decide, we will maintain our presence to fight against terrorism in Iraq,” he said."

Baghdad Summit: Iraq Hosts Regional Meeting
To negate tensions between the middle eastern countries and the Gulf nations, Iraq on August 28 hosted a regional conference taking up the role of new mediator. French President Emmanuel Macron Slapped While Greeting Citizens
French President Emmanuel Macron was slapped in the face by a man on June 8 when the leader was down to meet the public in Southeastern town of Tain-l' Hermitage. The detained man had reportedly shouted a war cry translating "Down with Macron" while attacking the President. "I'm always going to meet people," said Macron. Extending their support to the French President, several politicians condemned the attack.

France Threatens Of Troops Withdrawal From Mali's Sahel Region
The President of France, Emmanuel Macron has warned Mali of withdrawing its 5,100 troopers from the Sahel region, if the Islamist radicalization increases due to political instability. France has been providing military support to the leaders of its former colonies in Africa for decades. Notably, President Macron recently said that he has told the leaders that France will not support countries without democratic legitimacy and transition.
