HRDS Secretary, NGO Secretary Arrested For Threatening Tribals: Kerala
Aji Krishnan, the secretary of an NGO was arrested for allegedly encroaching and threatening tribals. On July 12, the Sholayur police arrested Krishnan, the secretary of High Range Rural Development Society (HRDS) with alleged RSS links. The action was taken after locals from the Tribal community registered a complaint against him, under various sections of the SC/ST Atrocities Act. Krishnan has been remanded under judicial custody.

Chinese Army Assemble At Western Border, Violates Bilateral Agreement: India
China assembled its troops near India's border and attempted to "alter LAC's status quo". India on June 24, called it a deliberate violation of the bilateral agreement. External Affairs Ministry's spokesperson said that the commotion is "disturbing the peace and tranquillity at the borders". Maharashtra: NGT Orders Restoration Of Dhamapur Lake
Hearing a 2017 application of Maharashtra's Sindhudurga residents, the National Green Tribunal ordered restoration of 490-year-old Dhamapur Lake. It ordered the district collector to freeze Rs 1.5 crore in PWD's bank-account until it transfers the amount to the State Biodiversity Board.
