NTA Declares JEE Main 2023 Results, Check Website

The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the results for session 1 of the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE Main 2023. A total of 8.6 lakh candidates registered for the session 1 examination, and around 8.22 lakh candidates appeared for the same. Candidates can check their respective results on the official website of JEE Mains, i.e., jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE Exams were conducted on January 24, 25, 29, 30, and February 1.

JEE Mains 2022 Application Date Extended Till April 5

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2022 application window for session 1 has been extended till April 5. Initially the date was till March 31, which has been extended by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The JEE Main online application process started on March 1 and the session 1 exam will take place on April 21, April 24, April 25, April 29, May 1, and May 4, stated NTA notification.

Engineering Seats In Indian Colleges Hit Lowest In 10 Years

India has witnessed a decline in engineering college seats, the lowest in 10 years with institutes applying for closure since 2015-16 and a cutback in capacity throughout. According to the All India Council for Technical Education's latest data, there are only 23.28 lakh total seats in UnderGraduate, PostGraduate, and diploma programs currently. However, engineering still makes up for 80% of the total seats in technical education.

Maths, Physics In Class 12 Not Necessary For Engineering Course: AICTE

SC Directs IIT-B To Admit Student Who Missed Seat Accidentally

The Supreme Court has directed IIT Bombay to offer Siddhant Batra interim enrolment to the course after he unintentionally missed his seat by clicking an incorrect link. The 18-year-old had scored AIR 270 at JEE Advanced and asked to reconsider his mistake on 'humanitarian grounds'. He had approached the apex court, after the Bombay High Court dismissed his plea, citing that the HC cannot intervene once admission processes have begun.
