England-South Africa ODI Series Cancelled Due To Multiple COVID Cases

The one-day international series between South Africa and England has become first ongoing cricket series to get canceled due to COVID-19. The decision was taken on November 7 in the wake of breaches in the team's bio-secure bubble. Boards of South Africa and England have decided to cancel the tour after one Proteas player, two members of the England squad and two hotel staff tested positive for COVID-19.

England Cricketers Agree to a 15% Cut In Salary

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced on October 23 that their cricketers under central contract had agreed for a 15 percent pay cut for 12 months. The decision was taken to tackle financial loss of $130.80 million owing to the pandemic. An agreement was made between the ECB and the Team England Player Partnership. Reduction in match fees, win bonuses and retainers will be a part of the reduction.
