Save Them Anyhow, Says Arvind Kejriwal Over Qatar Court Death Penalty To 8 Indians

Eight Indians have been sentenced to death in Qatar in an alleged espionage case. The verdict of the Qatari government and the judicial system raised alarming concerns in India, as political leaders expressed concerns and demanded the BJP government save them. AAP President and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal urged the GoI to save the eight Indians. The GoI said, "We are deeply shocked by the verdict of death penalty."

UK Home Secretary Priti Patel Approves Extradition Of Wikileaks' Founder Julian Assange To US

The case of extradition of Julian Assange to US was passed to the UK home secretary. Priti Patel, UK home secretary approved the extradition of Assange. However, Assange's counsel intends on filing a cross-appeal on Patel's order. Julian Assange was charged for alleged violation of the Espionage Act, in 2019 by the US government. Julian Assange, founder of Wikileaks, is expected to face 175 years in prison, in US.

Cyber Security Breach By Military Officials, Probe Underway

A high-level probe has been launched after some cyber-security breach committed by some military officials came to light. On April 19, a possible link with some espionage-related acts by another country has been reported by officials. A defense source has revealed that the breach had been found on some WhatsApp groups. The sources have stated that action would be taken against those found guilty, as per the Official Secrets Act.

2 Pakistan Spies Arrested In Jammu & Kashmir's Rajouri

Based on a tip-off, Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri police and a team of the Army arrested Nazir Hussain and Mohammed Mukhtar, both residents of Nowshera, on December 19. As per sources, they were charged for the crime of espionage. Reportedly, they shot videos of vital and sensitive security installations.
