Man Carries 16 Kg Heroin Worth Rs 112 Crore; Arrested In Bangalore Railway Station

Officials of the District Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has arrested a man from Bangalore's Central railway station, who was allegedly carrying 16 kg heroin, packed in two 8 kg pouches. Reportedly, the drugs are worth Rs 112 crore in the international market, and the accused carried them in a false cavity in his suitcase. Shockingly, DRI stated that the man evaded checking and arrived at Bangalore airport from Ethiopia.

UN Slams Ethiopia For Ordering 7 Officals To Leave Within 72 Hours

The United Nations on October 1 warned Ethiopia after it ''declared a persona non grata'' or unwelcome for seven UN officials on October 1. Ethiopia also ordered them to leave the country within 72 hours for ''meddling'' in the country's internal affairs. The UN said the declaration was wrong as it only applied between states and ''UN is not a state''. Besides, Tigray in Ethiopia is facing ''unprecedented'' malnutrition.

Over 200 Killed In Western Ethiopia's Ethnic Cleansing

In the ongoing ethnic violence in Ethiopia's Oromia region, the Oromo Liberation Army has allegedly killed over 210 people in the last few days and forced women and children to run for their lives. The group arrived in Gida-Kirimu after the security forces left the western region unguarded.
