World Bank Announces $530 Million Additional Aid To Ukraine Amid Russian Invasion
The World Bank has announced to provide an additional aid of $530 million to Ukraine amid the ongoing war against Russia. The World Bank also stated that United Kingdom’s contribution to the addition aid is $500 million, and Kingdom of Denmark’s contribution is $30 million. With this, the total aid provided by World Bank to Ukraine is $13 billion. Of which, $11 billion has been fully disbursed.

Pakistan To Oppose India In European Union Over GI Tag For Basmati Rice
Pakistan has decided to oppose India's claim of Geographical Indication (GI ) tag to Basmati rice in the European Union. Pakistan claims that since it is a major grower of Basmati rice, India's appeal to secure GI tag is "unjustified". The GI tag will give India sole ownership of Basmati rice, which may cause decline in Pakistan's export. Reportedly, a Pakistani legal team is planning to file formal opposition sooner.

EU Recommends Its Govt. To Use COVID Recovery Package on Green Energy
The European Union has recommended its members to use €750 billion for COVID-19 recovery packages. They have asked their 27 member countries to spend money on green energy, transport, and also focus on other areas. EU official Paolo Gentiloni said, "The guidance aims to help the member states to prepare national plans in line with our agreed objectives". The member countries can apply for said grants from January 2021.
