Supreme Court Allows EWS, OBC Quota In NEET-PG Medical Counselling
The Supreme Court on January 7, has allowed the resumption of the NEET-PG 2021-2022 counseling process of admission. The Apex Court allowed 27% quota for Other Backward Classes and 10% for Economically Weaker Section, said bench led by Justices DY Chandrachud and AS Bopanna. They also accepted the income cut-off of Rs 8 lakh for the EWS quota as per the recommendation of Ajay Bhushan Pandey.

Telangana Govt Sanctions 10% Quota For Economically Weaker Section
The Telangana government on February 8 sanctioned 10% reservation to the economically weaker section (EWS) in educational institutions and state government jobs. Subsequently, the general administration department and education department would separately issue required amendments to existing rules in this regard.
