PM Narendra Modi announced ex gratia to the victims of Chandausi and Secunderabad incident. On March 18, Prime Minister's Office (PMO) announced to give Rs 2 lakh to those who lost their kin in the Secunderabad fire incident, whereas Rs 50,000 was announced for injured. The amount will be given under the PM Cares Fund. In addition, the PM of India also directed to provide medical treatment to injured.

PM Narendra Modi expressed condolences to the families who lost their kin in the Siddharthanagar accident in Uttar Pradesh. Notably, seven people died and four were injured after an SUV rammed into a truck. In addition, on May 22, PM Modi announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh for deceased's families and Rs 50,000 for injured victims. Meanwhile, UP CM Yogi Adityanath also expressed condolences and assured assistance.

During a high-level meeting, the Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren announced Rs 5 lakh ex-gratia to the victims of Deogarh accident and Lohardaga violence. Hearing a petition filed by Gaurav Bansal, a lawyer, the Supreme Court on January 18, summoned chief secretaries of Andhra Pradesh and Bihar. Notably, the two state governments failed to provide ex-gratia to COVID-19 victims' families. "They are not above the law," said Apex Court bench headed by Justice MR Shah. The chief secretaries were asked to be present before the Apex Court at 2 pm, through video conferencing.
