Maharashtra CM Announces Ex-Gratia Of Rs 5 Lakhs To Nagpur Bus Blast

Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde announced an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakhs to the victims of the tragic Nagpur-Mumbai Express Highway bus accident. On July 1, a massive explosion happened at Nagpur-Maharashtra express highway, resulting in the death of 26 people, and left as many as 5 people injured. The Maharashtra CM expressed grief and announced an ex-gratia, whereas for injured were ordered to provide free medical treatment.

PM Narendra Modi announced ex gratia to the victims of Chandausi and Secunderabad incident. Jharkhand Govt Announces Rs 5 Lakh Ex-Gratia To Deogarh Accident Victims

During a high-level meeting, the Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren announced Rs 5 lakh ex-gratia to the victims of Deogarh accident and Lohardaga violence. On April 12, CM Soren said, the state government will provide treatment and other assistance to the victims, and ordered a high-level inquiry into both the incidents. Notably, three people died in the cable rope incident in Deogarh, whereas in Lohardaga, a man succumbed to his injuries.

SC Issues Summons To Andhra Pradesh & Bihar Over Non Payment Of Ex-Gratia

Hearing a petition filed by Gaurav Bansal, a lawyer, the Supreme Court on January 18, summoned chief secretaries of Andhra Pradesh and Bihar. Notably, the two state governments failed to provide ex-gratia to COVID-19 victims' families. "They are not above the law," said Apex Court bench headed by Justice MR Shah. The chief secretaries were asked to be present before the Apex Court at 2 pm, through video conferencing.
