Jharkhand Government To Give Rs 50,000 Ex-Gratia To Kins Of Covid-19 Deceased

Jharkhand Health and Disaster Management Minister Banna Gupta on December 8, announced of giving Rs 50,000 ex-gratia from the State Disaster Management Department Fund to the families of those who died of Covid-19. Speaking to ANI, Gupta said, "Jharkhand government will give Rs 50,000 ex-gratia to the kin of persons who died of Covid-19 in the state." Notably, a total of 5,141 people have died of Covid-19 in the state.

Punjab & Chhattisharh CM To Give Rs 50 Lakh To Kin Of Four Farmers

Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi as well as Chattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel have on October 6 announced that they'll give a compensation of Rs 50 lakh separately to the family of four farmers and a journalist who died in Lakhimpur Kheri. Meanwhile, CM Charanjit said, ''We stand with the families of the farmers.'' Besides, the Yogi government has allowed Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi to visit the area.

Odisha CM Grants Ex-Gratia Of Rs 2 Lakh To Families Of 4 Accident Victims

Following a road accident on August 13 in Odisha's Bisamakatak, the CM Naveen Patnaik announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh to the deceased on August 15. Wishing the speedy recovery to the injured one, the CM also announced to provide free treatment to them. Reportedly, four died and two were injured during a collision between an ambulance and a truck.

Rain Claims Lives; Rajasthan CM Grants Rs 5 Lakh To Bereaved Kins

Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot announced a monetary aid of Rs 5 lakh to the family of the deceased who suffered death due to heavy rains, and Rs 2 lakh to the injured in the state on August 7. The money was allocated from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund through a virtual meeting. The state govt has also planned to compensate the incurred crop damage after a revenue survey.

7 Dead & 1 Injured In Car Collision, PM Condoles The Deceased: Telangana

PM Narendra Modi expressed his condolences on July 24 to those who lost their loved ones in an accident in Telangana's Nagarkurnool. PM also announced an ex-gratia amount of Rs 2 lakh to the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 to the injured. Reportedly, two speeding cars collided with each other at Hajipur, killing 7 people and leaving one injured. However, police are yet to register an FIR.

Ex-Gratia Of Rs 2 Lakh To Victims Who Died Of Lightning: PM Modi 

PM Narendra Modi has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh to the family of victims who were killed due to lightning, thunder, and rain in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh. Meanwhile, Rs 50,000 would be offered to the injured. Nearly 70 people were struck by lightning from various states in India. As per reports, notably, 38 people lost their lives in UP, while 20 were killed in Rajasthan.

MP Govt Announces Rs 1 Lakh For Kin Of COVID Victims During 2nd Wave

The Madhya Pradesh government on May 20 announced that families of those who died during second COVID-19 wave will be given an ex-gratia of Rs 1 lakh. Reportedly, the state has recorded over 3,500 coronavirus fatalities since March 2021. Earlier, the government had promised monthly aid of Rs 5,000 to children who became orphan during the pandemic, along with free ration, education and interest-free loans to guardians of those children.
