Muslim Woman Restricted To Sit For Hindi Exam, Asked To Remove Hijab: Tamil Nadu

In Tamil Nadu's Tiruvannalamalai region, a Muslim woman named Shabana was restricted to write her Hindi examination, because of her hijab. The administration stopped her and asked her to remove Hijab if she wishes to appear for an exam. The issue soon escalated with protests and involvement of top level educational officials, who later approved Shabana to sit for exam in Hijab. However, citing unstable condition, Shabana refused to sit.

Maharashtra SSC Board Exam Results Announced, 92% Students Passed

Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has declared the Maharashtra SSC 10th Result 2023 today, June 2. The Link for the students has been activated for the students to check their mark sheet on the official website. Students can check their results at the official websites at mahresult.nic.in, sscresult.mkcl.org. This year, 92.49% of PwD candidates passed the exam.

Anti-Cheating War Room To Be Built In Lucknow, To Link With All Test Centres

Yogendra Upadhyay, the Minister of Higher Education in Uttar Pradesh, declared on August 13 that a war room will be built in Lucknow soon to battle the issue of exam copying. For many years, unfair test practices such as copying and cheating have been widespread in Uttar Pradesh. Upadhyay added that "all the examination centers will be connected to the Lucknow-based war room" to ensure exam transparency.

SSC To Start Hiring To Fill 70,000 Openings In Central Govt Departments

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will shortly commence hiring for approximately 70,000 positions in central government entities. Prime Minister Narendra Modi suggested that 10 lakh people be hired on a mission-mode basis during the course of the ensuing 18 months by various central government departments. In a public notification, the SSC noted that announcements of specific examinations will be issued on its website in due time.

Second Term Exams For Classes 9 & 12 To Be Conducted In Two Parts: Himachal

In Himachal Pradesh, under the National Education Policy, the second term examination of classes 9 and 12 of batch 2021-22 will be conducted in two terms on the basis of a 50:50 syllabus.
