‘Bluetooth Slippers' Priced At Rs. 6 Lakh Used To Cheat In REET: Rajasthan

Rajasthan police across the state, notably in Bikaner, busted the REET cheating scam. A group of candidates directed by the coaching center owner used calling devices hidden inside slippers to cheat in REET. Over two dozen people were questioned and 40 people have been detained. “A small battery and a SIM card were hidden under the soles of slippers. A Bluetooth enabled micro-earpiece helped them with answers,” officials stated.

REET Causes Suspension Of Internet & Mobile Services In Rajasthan

Ajmer District Magistrate on September 24 released a notification informing the suspension of Mobile internet services, bulk SMS/MMS, and Internet services in 12 districts from 6 AM to 6 PM in Rajasthan on September 26. The decision was taken due to the Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET) 2021. The districts include Ajmer, Alwar, Dausa, Jhunjhunu, and Jaipur. UP: Deputy CM Directs Universities To Conduct Exams By Aug 15

The exams in Uttar Pradesh Universities are scheduled to be conducted by August 15, said Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Dinesh Sharma to all the Vice-Chancellors of the state universities. Army Pushes 'Cut-Off' To Over 80% Due To Rise In Female Applicants

The Indian Army has pushed the "Cut-off" in class 10 to over 80% for women candidates in order to meet the rising number of applications. An initiative was launched in 2019 to recruit 100 women every year. Notably, 1.6 lakh women candidates had registered in both 2019 and 2020. Considering the number of applications at present, a third batch of recruitment for women candidates were held recently.

COVID-induced JEE Advanced Dropouts Allowed To Reappear Next Year

The Joint Admission Board (JAB) has decided to allow 'JEE Advanced 2020' dropouts to reappear in 2021. This is for those who failed to appear for the JEE Advanced 2020 after registration due to the pandemic. The candidates will not have to appear for the JEE Mains 2021 and the existing eligibility criteria will be followed. Reportedly, only 1.5 lakh of the 2.5 lakh eligible candidates had appeared for the examination.
