Jay Shah’s Term As Asian Cricket Council President Extended

BCCI secretary Jay Shah’s term as the president of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) was unanimously extended by a year to the 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM), on March 19. "We remain committed to ensuring the all-round development of cricket, especially in women's cricket and the tournaments the ACC conducts in the region," stated Shah. Notably, Shah had taken the charge of president of the ACC in January 2021.

Night Curfew Extended In 27 Cities Of Gujarat; 12,131 COVID Cases In 24 Hours

The Gujarat government has extended the night curfew imposed in 27 cities of the state, till February 4. The Curfew will be imposed from 10 pm to 6 am. As per reports, the decision was taken by CM Bhupendra Patel during the core committee meeting in Gandhinagar, to curb the Covid-19 infections. Meanwhile, the state recorded 12,131 new COVID infections and 30 deaths, in the last 24 hours.

Registration Deadline For CBSE CTET 2021 Extended Till October 25

Registrations for the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2021 has been extended to October 25 by CBSE. However, the exam will be conducted as per schedule from December 16 to January 13, 2021. Reportedly, the Board has established another test center in Leh. Three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. candidates and those who've a minimum 55% marks in Post-Graduation can also apply for the exam.
