Indian Govt To Lower Public Transportation Fares: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari
The Indian government has emphasized the need of switching to electric cars, and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has taken many steps to facilitate a seamless transition to the EV ecosystem. Gadkari stated that the fare for electric buses might be 30% cheaper than that of diesel buses. The Central Government is pressing on with its goal to run 50,000 electric buses around the country.

Delhi Transport Dept Approves Hike In Auto-Rickshaw, Taxi Charges; Awaiting Cabinet Approval
Delhi transport department has given its approval for an increase in auto-rickshaw and taxi charges of Rs 1.50 and Rs 15 respectively. The proposal is currently being considered for final approval by the Cabinet. The starting meter cost in autos will be increased to Rs 30, and each kilometer will be charged at Rs 11. Meter costs for AC taxis would rise to Rs 40, while non-AC taxis will rise to Rs 17.
