Mamata Banerjee Proposes Presidential Election Candidates: Opposition Meeting

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee proposed named of  Gopalkrishna Gandhi and Farooq Abdullah for the presidential elections 2022.  On June 15, the TMC President held an opposition meeting in the national capital, to discuss the upcoming elections for Indian President, on July 18. Gopalkrishna Gandhi was the candidate for Vice President post in 2017, lost against M Venkaiah Naidu, whereas Farooq Abdullah is former CM of J&K.

J&K: All Leaders Of PAGD To Attend PM Modi's 'All-Party' Meeting

PM Narendra Modi has called for an all-party meeting on the erstwhile state on June 24, as confirmed by the Gupkar alliance leaders. “We will talk about everything as there isn’t a fixed agenda for the all-party meeting,” said National Conference (NC) chief Farooq Abdullah after meeting with the alliance. Mehbooba Mufti and the NC previously held meetings and urged their chiefs to take a final call over the issue.

Ex-CM Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah Tests Covid-19 Positive

Two days after the National Conference President Farooq Abdullah was discharged from the hospital after the Covid-19 treatment, his son, Omar Abdullah has been tested Covid-19 positive on April 9. The former J&K Chief Minister took to Twitter to share that he is asymptotic and is self-isolating and monitoring his oxygen saturation levels as per his doctor's advice.

J&K Leader Farooq Abdullah Moved To Hospital Days After Testing Covid-19 Positive

Former J&K Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah, who was recently tested positive for Covid-19, was moved to a hospital in Srinagar on his doctor's advice. The National Conference leader was under home isolation for a week and now he has been hospitalised for better care and monitoring. Abdullah had also received his first Covid vaccine jab in early March while the second vaccine shot was due.

Srinagar MP Farooq Abdullah Contracts COVID-19

Former Jammu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah tweeted that his father and Srinagar MP Farooq Abdullah has been tested positive for COVID-19 positive on March 30. Reportedly, Farooq had received his first dose of the vaccine on March 2, yet to receive the second shot. Besides, Omar has urged the people who came in their contact to take precautions. Meanwhile, PM Narendra Modi has wished Farooq for speedy recovery.

Former Jammu & Kashmir CM Farooq Abdullah will be interrogated by the CBI regarding the multi-crore Roshni land scheme Scam. Notably, the scheme had been launched during the reign of Farooq.
