The CBI conducted a nationwide operation at almost 40 locations in connection with FCRA 2020 violation on May 10. A detailed note on 3 FRCA-clearance networks operating, have linkages with government officials, and are charging speed money. Jamia Millia Among 5,789 Entities Whose Foreign Funding Ceased

Government Tightens FCRA Rules For Foreign Funding Of NGOs
The Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act’s new rules have mandated a minimum three years of operation for any NGO to procure foreign funds. NGOs must have spent at least 15 lakh on its core activities in those three years. Centre further notified that if the sum exceeds 1 crore, it should be paid in instalments only after 75% of previous instalment is properly utilised.
