No Lockdown Would Have Caused 1.4 Crore COVID-19 Cases By June: Report
A government-appointed expert panel stated that if no lockdown had been imposed in India, the country would have reported 1.40 crore COVID-19 cases by June. It mentioned that timely actions avoided an "overload" to our unprepared healthcare system. The report asserted that if all protocols are followed, the spread of disease can be controlled by February 2021. It also opined that the impact of migrants in increasing cases was minute.
