In order to make Ganesh Utsav easier for Mandals, the Brihanmumbai Municipal corporation (BMC) announced to start off one window facility system for the Sarvajanik Ganesh Utsav Mandals. Amid rising number of COVID-19's new variant Omicron cases in Delhi, the Arvind Kejriwal government banned new year's and Christmas gathering. On December 22, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority released a notice, banning public gathering until new year's. The DDMA directed all the district officials and collectors that everyone abide by rules, imposes. Meanwhile, so far, Delhi reported a total of 57 Omicron cases.
