The event will continue over the next 9 days, concluding with Ram Navami, the day Lord Rama was born. Chaitra Navratri begins on the first day of the Hindu calendar. The grand nine-day festival is celebrated with and devotees of Maa Durga fast for nine days, seeking her blessing.

BMC Announces One Window Permission For Ganesh Utsav In Mumbai

Delhi Bans New Year & Christmas Gathering Amid Omicron Scare
Amid rising number of COVID-19's new variant Omicron cases in Delhi, the Arvind Kejriwal government banned new year's and Christmas gathering. On December 22, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority released a notice, banning public gathering until new year's. The DDMA directed all the district officials and collectors that everyone abide by rules, imposes. Meanwhile, so far, Delhi reported a total of 57 Omicron cases.
