As part of Metro Day celebrations on June 17, passengers can ride in the Kochi Metro to any station for just Rs 5 per ticket. On June 17, 2017, the Kochi Metro began operations. Kochi Metro Rail Limited in a statement said "The normal rate will be applicable for trip pass holders. But the balance amount will be credited to their accounts as cashback." Passengers with online tickets can also use this service.
