A US fighter jet shot down an unidentified object drifting high over Alaska. The incident occurred just six days after the US fighter jet shot down a Chinese spy balloon, which created a rift between the United States and the Chinese government. In a bid to upgrade firepower capabilities, the Indian Airforce will see the addition of 10 new Rafale fighters paving way for the formation of a second squadron of the aircraft in Hashimara. Reportedly, the Rafale fighters will be flown to India directly from France in a month and will be stationed at Ambala. Notably, the fighter aircraft were patrolling in Ladakh during strife with China.

According to the satellite images, it is now reported that China has temporarily deployed two of the People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) stealth aircraft J-20 to Hotan. The area is under Indian control in Ladakh, about 250 km from the Karakoram Pass. China is strengthening its force with previous deployments of its fifth-generation indigenous jet and other military types of equipment.
