Uttarakhand To Soon Have Its Own Film City, Govt Directs Officials To Prepare Plan
Recently, the Uttarakhand Government announced to construct a film city of its own. On July 12, the Uttarakhand Government asked the concerned officials to hunt a suitable piece of land in the hill state. The Special Principal Secretary Abhinav Kumar held a meeting with the information department officials and asked them to prepare an action plan, to have fully equipped film city, for shooting in the State.

UP CM Directs To Complete Film City Project By 2022 End

UP CM Yogi Takes Jibe At Maharashtra Govt Over Film City
During his Mumbai visit on December 2, UP CM Yogi Adityanath said, "We have not come here to take anything away. We are building a new film city. Why one is getting worried about it?" His response was aimed against Sanjay Raut's "difficult to replicate Mumbai's film industry elsewhere" remark. Earlier, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray had also stated to stop people from "forcibly" taking away the city's business.
