CBSE To Bifurcate Exams For Students Of Classes 10, 12

Due to back-to-back disruptions in examinations owing to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a new assessment scheme for class 10 and 12 students of the academic year 2021-22. Pune: SPPU Postpones Final Year Exams, To Begin from October 12

Savitribai Phule Pune University has postponed the exams for final-year degree students. Exams are now scheduled to start from October 12 for students with backlogs. Reportedly, the staff strike over salaries and promotions and a pending tender on appointment of vendor for conducting the online exams, are the main reasons for the delay. The authorities said that the exam timetable would be uploaded on the college website from October 1.

Maha to Announce CET Exam Dates Right After the Final Year Examination Dates

Higher and Technical Education Minister of Maharashtra, Uday Samant on September 2, revealed that the dates for the final-year examination will be announced within two days. "Once a decision on final-year exams is announced, we will announce dates for CET as well," Minister added. Samant is expecting to conduct the CET examination between October 1 and 15. Around 5 lakh applications has been registered.

Final Year Exams: SC Says Cannot Promote Students Without Exams

Supreme Court on August 28, announced the final verdict of University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines where it states that the final year students cannot be promoted without exams and the final year university/college exams have to be held by September 30. The three-judge bench headed by Justice Ashok Bhushan mentioned, "we grant universities the liberty to approach the UGC to seek an extension of the deadline."

Aaditya Thackeray Writes to PM Modi; Urges to Postpone Final-year Exams

Aaditya Thackeray has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, requesting him to postpone the final-year exams. He said that conducting exams isn't a feasible idea for anybody, as it would put the students, teachers and non-teaching staff at risk in the midst of the pandemic situation. Aaditya has urged the Prime Minister for his intervention in the matter.
