Pakistan Railways Disrupted Amid Rising Fuel Crisis

Trains have gradually come to a standstill in Pakistan, as the Railways have disrupted amid rising fuel crisis in the country. Pakistan Railways have stopped services across the country, also due to lack of revenue amid ongoing financial crisis in the nation, reported The Express Tribune. Meanwhile, Pakistan Railways is also buying fuel from private firms to continue operations. However, government officials are yet to make a statement.

Cambodian Lion Dancers Continue Craft Amid COVID-19 Pandemic

Amid the pandemic, Cambodian lion dancers are all set to perform at Lunar New Year Ceremony. All the income sources have dried up during the pandemic, with the number of performances bottoming out to about once a month instead of five, said a performer. The Cambodian Chinese Association estimates there are eight troupes, but the number may shrink. Notably, Sino-Khmers have long been an integral part of the Cambodian society.

Milkmen Donates Rs 1 Lakh To School Facing Financial Crisis: Assam

About 600 milkmen from Sitajakhala cooperative society donated Rs 1 lakh to Sitajakhala Higher Secondary school, Jagiroad Assembly constituency, to help the school recover from its financial crisis in Assam. The group has extended support to the school by contributing just 15 paise per litre on sale from each milkman. "The school would not be facing such issues had they been provincialized," as per reports.

Canada To Give Rs 60-Cr Monetary Support To India For COVID Measures

The Canada government on April 27 announced that it would provide a financial aid of Rs 60 crore to India as a part of COVID assistance. The donation will be  transferred from Canadian Red Cross to the Indian Red Cross Society. Besides, oxygen concentrators, ventilators, and pharma products are also on the assistance list. "We are there to support in any way we can," said Canadian PM Justin Trudeau.

Elderly Couple Dead In Kolkata; Police Suspect Suicide

In Kolkata's Girish Park region, semi-decayed corpses of an elderly couple have been recovered from an apartment on November 24.
