New York Gets First Woman Governor Katheen C. Hochul
Kathleen C. Hochul made history as she becomes the first woman Governor for the people of New York on August 24. Meanwhile, Hochul received the opportunity after her predecessor Andrew Cuomo resigned as he was found guilty of sexually harassing multiple women. On appointment, Hochul said, ''Willing to be bloodied and marred in the pursuit of doing what's right for the people of the great state.''

Pakistan To Appoint First Woman Chief Justice 'Ayesha Malik'
Justice Ayesha Malik is likely to become the first woman Chief Justice of Pakistan following the retirement of the current CJP Mushir Alam on August 17. Reportedly, Alam recommended her name to a judicial committee as his next successor. Malik graduated from Pakistan College of Law and pursued her master's degree from Harvard Law School in London. Besides, she is currently serving at the Lahore High Court.
