Andhra Pradesh Flash Foods: 17 Dead, 100 Missing

Owing to the flash floods, at least 17 people lost their lives in Andhra Pradesh's Chittoor, Kadappa, Kurnool, and Anantapur districts on November 19. It's also reported that over 100 were washed away in the flood. The state government also deployed teams of the National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF), fire department, and police for the rescue operation. Kadapa airport has also been closed till November 25.

54 Dead Due To Heavy Rain In Uttarakhand; Nainital Records Highest Deaths

In the past couple of days, 54 people have died in Uttarakhand as a result of flash floods and landslides triggered by heavy rainfall. Besides, 19 individuals have been injured in separate events, with five individuals still missing. Nainital had the most deaths, followed by Almora, Champawat, Udham Singh Nagar, and Bageshwar. According to the report, 46 houses have been partially or fully damaged.

IMD Issues Red, Orange And Yellow Alert In Odisha's 21 Cities

Considering a depression over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining the Odisha coast, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert in seven districts of Odisha for the next 24 hours on September 12. Moreover, IMD also issued an orange alert in six districts and a yellow alert in eight districts. ''There are also chances of flash floods,'' said Umashankar Das, a scientist at IMD Bhubaneswar.

Flash Floods In Indonesia Kills 2 People, Leaves 1 Missing

At least two persons died and one went missing following the ''high-intensity rains on the morning of September 4'' that caused flash floods in Indonesia's East Nusa Tenggara. According to the country's National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), the flood also destroyed five residential houses and forced 26 residents in the Inerie village to run away from their houses. US Tennessee Flood Claims 22 Lives & Over 50 Still Missing

The flood in the US's Tennessee has claimed the lives of at least 22 people so far and more than 50 people are still reported missing, as per reports on August 22. Moreover, the flood washed away rural roads and highways, submerged many houses, and also left around 4,000 people without electricity. President Joe Biden paid his condolences to victims and is willing to offer all required support.
