Cloud Burst Over Lhonak Lake In North Sikkim, 23 Army Personnel Missing

Ah sudden cloudburst occurred, leading to flash floods in Teesta River in Lachen Valley, North Sikkim. Some army establishments along the valley have been affected and efforts are on to confirm details. Furthermore,  if sources to beleive, 23 Indian Army personnel have been reported missing and some vehicles are reported submerged under the slush. Search operations are underway. This is a developing story, details are awaited.

Himachal Pradesh: 6 Dead, 10 Injured In Flash Floods & Rainfall

Due to heavy rainfall and flash floods in Himachal Pradesh, six people died and as many as ten people were injured. On June 26, the Himachal Pradesh National Disaster Management confirmed the deceased people and said, "303 animals were also reportedly died." In addition, property worth Rs 3 crore, and 124 roads and national highways were damaged. More details into the matter are awaited, said Himachal Pradesh Police.

8 Dead After Flash Floods Hit West Bengal’s Jalpaiguri

In West Bengal’s Jalpaiguri, flash floods hit the Mal river, resulting in the death of at least eight persons, informed District magistrate Moumita Godard Basu, on October 5. Of the eight deceased, four were reportedly women. Basu further stated that a search is underway to find out if more casualties have occurred. Meanwhile, the injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Pakistan Floods: Railway Services Suspended In Balochistan For 10 Days

The flood situation in Pakistan’s Balochistan continues to stay grim, with the Railways services having been suspended for 10 days. However, railway authorities are likely to extend the suspension, stating that the situation will mostly remain the same even after 15 days. This has come after, owing to floods, the Naseerabad railway track was washed away and Harak railway bridge was damaged.

Chakki Bridge Collapses, Flash Floods Reported In Kangra, Himachal Pradesh

In Himachal Pradesh's Kangra, a Chakki bridge collapsed, confirmed the Additional District Magistrate on August 21. In addition, a flash flood also hit the mandi region of the state, causing trouble to the residents, as water entered their houses and shops in the Kangra district. House Collapses In Himachal Pradesh’s Chamba; 3 Gone Missing
