Malayalam Actress Harassed By Co-Passenger, Registers FIR

Malayalam actress Divya Prabha left her fans outraged and worried after she revealed that she was harassed by her co-passenger on a flight from Mumbai to Kochi recently. The incident took place on October 9, following which she has lodged a formal police complaint. The actress took to her Instagram handle to share her shocking ordeal, and added that despite complaining to the air hostess, no proper measure was taken.

Drunk Passenger Onboard Urinates On Co-Passenger, Arrested

Yet another incident of passenger peeing in flight reported. An Indian man travelling from New York-Delhi allegedly urinated on a co-passenger on an American Airlines flight. The accused passenger was deemed drunk by the airline staff, confirmed sources. He was arrested after the plane landed at the Delhi airport last night. Furthermore, the aviation watchdog has taken appropriate action after it received a report from the airline.

DCGA Rejects Plea Of Air India Pilot In Urination Incident

The Director General Civil Aviation (DCGA) rejected the appeal of the pilot in the Air India Urination Issue. On March 1, the DCGA rejected the plea of the pilot to revoke the license suspension orders. The DCGA feels that the incident should have been reported in any case, therefore, pilot is responsible. Notably, earlier, a man urinated on a 70-year-old senior citizen in a New York-Delhi Air India flight.

The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) handled 1,30,374 passengers in 24 hours on September 17, making it the highest since the beginning of the pandemic. The growth in footfall is reportedly due to rising flight movements, newer destinations and an increase in airline’s capacity. Also, on September 17, CSMIA witnessed 839 total flight movements. 125 Passengers Of Flight From Italy-Amritsar Test COVID-19 Positive

At least 125 passengers of a chartered from Italy, tested COVID-19 positive, on January 6. Flight landed at Amritsar, at 1:30 pm from Milan. Of the total 179 passengers, 125 tested positive, as Italy is said to be high risk countries for COVID-19 and its new variant Omicron. Furthermore, all the positive patients will be sent for institutional quarantine in Amritsar. Notably, flight was operated by EuroAtlantic Airways.

IndiGo's Guwahati-Pune Flight Gets Inaugurated By Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia

The daily flight of IndiGo between Guwahati and Pune was inaugurated by Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on December 16. Reportedly, the flight will depart at 10:40 PM from Guwahati airport and land at Pune airport at 2:15 AM. It will then depart from Pune airport at 2:50 AM and land at 6:05 AM at Guwahati airport. Besides, the company also operates flights from Assam's Silchar, Dibrugarh, and Jorhat.

UK Suspends Flights From 6 African Countries; New Covid Variant

Owing to the emergence of a new COVID variant with more than 30 mutations, the UK Health Secretary Sajid Javid on November 26 announced a temporary suspension of flights from six African countries. The UK has also decided to put the six countries on the red list. The new variant has been named B.1.1.529. ''The variant includes a large number of spike protein mutation,'' said UK Health Security Agency.

Bird Hits Air India's Plane; Delhi Airport-Authority Cancels Flight AIC 469

Delhi-bound Air India flight AIC 469 was canceled by the Swami Vivekanand Airport authority in MP's Raipur after a bird hit the plane during its take-off on September 14 at 10:05 AM. Reportedly, Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Renuka Singh was also a passenger among 179 others. The airport director Rakesh Ranjan Sahay said, ''Pieces of a bird's carcass was found... the personnel is further inspecting the aircraft.''

IAF Aircraft Carrying 168 Passengers From Kabul Reach Delhi

A special repatriation Indian Air Force flight from Kabul carrying 107 Indians, 2 Afghan senators, and 24 Afghan Sikhs landed in Delhi on the morning of August 22. Several evacuees were staying in Afghanistan's Gurudwara for days. They all will be moved to Bangla Sahib Gurdwara. "Everything that was built in the last 20 years is now finished. It's zero now," said Afghanistan's senator Narender Singh Khalsa.
