Schools In Rajasthan's Kota & Bundi Districts To Be Closed On August 23 Due To Severe Rainfall

As the state of Rajasthan continues to experience severe rains, schools in the Kota and Bundi districts will be closed on August 23. District administration and the government made the decision to extend the holiday due to a flood-like situation in both districts. Additionally, the IMD has issued a warning regarding isolated sections of Rajasthan's eastern and western regions experiencing severe rain.

IMD Issues Red Alert, Predicts Heavy Rainfall In Isolated Regions Of MP

Amid heavy rains in many parts of Madhya Pradesh, schools are being closed in the low lying regions, including state capital Bhopal. On August 22, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) also issued a red alert and predicted heavy-to-very-heavy rainfall with extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places of MP. Moreover, due to the rain situation, people of the state are suffering from water logging situations, with traffic issues.

NDRF Begins Rescue Operation In Karnataka, Maharashtra

The National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF) has started rescue operations in Maharashtra and Karnataka after the heavy rains wreaked havoc in various parts of the states.
