CBI Can't Challenge Bail Grant, Says Lalu Prasad Yadav In SC
The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Chief and former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav said CBI can't challenge bail orders just because they are not satisfied. In the court hearing, the RJD leader submitted his reply before the Supreme Court, "Jharkhand High Court's order on suspending his sentence cannot be challenged solely on the ground that the CBI is dissatisfied." CBI sought bail cancellation in Fodder Scam Case against Lalu.

Lalu Prasad Yadav's Bail Plea Challenged In SC: Fodder Scam Case
Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Lalu Prasad Yadav has been asked to filed a reply before the Supreme Court, in a plea challenging Jharkhand High Court's order to grant bail. Yadav is an accused in the Rs 950 Crore Fodder scam case, which is a total of five fodder scams. The scam finally came to light when Deputy Commissioner Chaibasa Amit Khare.

Special CBI Court To Announce Fodder Scam Case Verdict On Feb 15
A special CBI court will announce verdict in "Fodder Scam" case against former Bihar CM, Lalu Prasad Yadav. Notably, Yadav has been alleged of withdrawing Rs 139.35 crore from Doranda treasury. CBI Special Judge SK Sashi will announce the verdict. For the hearing, Lalu Prasad Yadav reached Ranchi on February 13. Meanwhile, CBI produced 575 witnesses in the case RC 47A/96.

Lalu Prasad Yadav Appears Before Patna CBI Court: Fodder Scam
Lalu Prasad Yadav, former CM of Bihar and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader, appeared before the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court in connection with the fodder scam in Patna on November 23. The CM is said to be involved in four different fodder scams during his CM tenure in Bihar. As of now, Mr. Yadav has been convicted in the Dumka Treasury case by Jharkhand High Court.

Jharkhand HC Grants Bail To Lalu Yadav In Dumka Treasury Fodder Scam Case
The Jharkhand High Court on April 17 granted bail to the former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav in a fodder scam case linked to Dumka treasury. Reportedly, the jailed Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo was accused of withdrawing Rs 3.13 crore excess from the Dumka Treasury. Involved in five cases related to the mutli-crore fodder scam, Yadav has been earlier granted bail in three cases.

Jharkhand HC Denies Lalu Yadav's Bail Plea In Dumka Treasury Case
The Jharkhand High Court on February 19 rejected RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav bail plea. However, the court added that the ex-CM could re-apply after two months when half of the total sentence is completed. Lalu was denied bail in the Dumka case, where he was convicted for withdrawing Rs 3.13 crore from the treasury. Jailed since December 2017, Lalu has been granted bail in three out of four cases.

Jharkhand HC Stays Ailing Lalu Yadav's Bail; Next Hearing on Feb 5
The Jharkhand High Court on January 29 deferred the bail plea of ex-Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav to February 5. Reportedly, the bail plea filed in the fodder scam case has been suspended by the court as the CBI sought more time to investigate. Earlier, ailing Lalu was admitted to the AIIMS, Delhi after being referred by the Rajendra Institute of Medical Science. Currently, Lalu is serving the 7-year imprisonment since December 2017.

Lalu Prasad Yadav Granted Bail in Fodder Scam; Continues Jail Term Under Dumka Treasury Case
The Jharkhand High Court, on October 9, granted bail to Lalu Prasad Yadav in Chaibasa Treasury case, in connection with the fodder scam. However, Yadav, who is serving his term in Birsa Munda Jail will continue to remain in custody for his pending Dumka treasury case. He was convicted in 2018 and was awarded a jail term of five years, along with a fine of Rs 5 lakh.
