Global Rice Trade In Threat Amid Lack Of Rainfall In India
Amid the lack of rainfall in India, the world food-supply is facing serious consequences, across the world. The biggest exporter of rice, India faced scarcity of rain in many regions, which has caused food supply to other nations. In addition, in West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh's 13% area for rice production, declined, especially when India is facing price rises and inflation. Notably, India is responsible for 40% of the global rice trade.
