Relief To Layman, Centre Plan This Amid Skyrocketing Tomato Prices
Amid the rising prices of tomatoes in India, the BJP-led Central Government came up with a plan to help the common man. On July 12, the Centre directed cooperatives NAFED and NCCF to procure tomatoes from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra for distribution in major consumption centres. The distribution is said to be done in regions where the prices of tomatoes are skyrocketing. Notably, in Indian states, tomatoes are Rs.200/kgs.

Swiggy, Zomato Suffers Nationwide Outage; Social Media Flooded With Complaints
Zomato and Swiggy, India's two largest food delivery apps, suffered a nationwide outage, on April 6. The 30-min outage was reportedly caused by an Amazon Web Services snag, that several online platforms rely on. Social media was flooded with complaints from customers, stating that the apps are not functioning. Delivery partners also raised complaints saying that food was not able to be delivered due to the outage.
