Ford India Resumes Production Work At Tamil Nadu Plant

Ford India resumed production work in its Tamil Nadu plant, after some employees consented to work again. Approximately 150-300 employees resumed work and signed papers, promising double shift work from June 14. It is to be noted, Tamil Nadu employees of car making company Ford India, went on illegal strike since May 30, demanding better work environment.  While 150-300 returned, many are still protesting, with a loss of pay.

Ford India Announces Leadership Change; MD To Step Down Following $2 Billion Loss

Ford India on September 24 announced a change in leadership with Bala Radhakrishnan replacing the current president and MD Anurag Mehrotra by the end of September 2021. Ford has also ceased production since September 9 at two Indian plants (Chennai and Gujarat) after facing a loss of $2 Billion. The company is expected to scale down its operations and withdraw EcoSport, Figo, Endeavour, and Aspire from the Indian market.

Most Road Accidents Happen Due To Use Of Mobile While Driving: Survey

Around 97% of drivers opine that distraction by mobile phones while driving is the major cause of the road accidents, revealed Ford India's survey 'Cartesy 2.0'. The survey sampling 1,561 participants nationwide also mentioned aggressive driving and lack of education as other reasons behind road accidents.
