In a newly published YouTube advertisement, Ford Motor Company, an American manufacturer and one of the world's largest carmakers criticized Elon Musk and Tesla. The commercial ran during the Kentucky Derby, an annual horse event in the United States. "They fly away on their own personal spaceships when things get hard," the ad read. A Ford representative said the purpose of the commercial was to celebrate all employees.

Ford India Announces Leadership Change; MD To Step Down Following $2 Billion Loss
Ford India on September 24 announced a change in leadership with Bala Radhakrishnan replacing the current president and MD Anurag Mehrotra by the end of September 2021. Ford has also ceased production since September 9 at two Indian plants (Chennai and Gujarat) after facing a loss of $2 Billion. The company is expected to scale down its operations and withdraw EcoSport, Figo, Endeavour, and Aspire from the Indian market.

Ford Motors To Soon Shut Down Its Indian Manufacturing Units
American Multinational Manufacturer Ford Motor Company will soon be shutting down its Indian Manufacturing plants and all operations in India. Reportedly, the announcement comes on September 9 as the company had to bear a heavy loss of almost $2 billion. "We are taking difficult, but necessary actions to deliver a sustainable Profitable Business," said Jim Farley, Ford Motors CEO.

Ford Enters Electric Vehicle Market With F-150 Lightning
Aiming to increase its share in electric vehicles market, Ford has unveiled its first-ever fully electric model of its best selling F-150 pickup truck. Named F-150 Lightning, the vehicle will come at a decent starting price of Rs 30 lakh to attract customers. Besides, the modified vehicle also promises 563HP, taking it from 0-100kmph in four seconds, along with a fast charging system equipped with better technologies.

Ford Cars' Price May Rise Up To Rs 35,000 From January 2021
Ford India shall increase its automobiles' prices up to 3%, varying for different models from January 1. Reportedly, the price may go up to Rs 35,000 based on models. Ford's Executive Director Vinay Raina on December 10 cited that the step was necessary due to increasing input costs. However, bookings that are made in 2020 will not be affected. Earlier, Maruti Suzuki India had announced a hike in price.

Ford Motor Postpones Manufacturing Of Escape SUV To 2021
Ford Motor Company on October 13 officially confirmed the postponement of the manufacturing of 'plug-in Escape PHEV SUV' to 2021. The Bloomberg News has reported that the automaker's Europe wing has recalled about 20,500 Kuga plug-in hybrid SUVs after seven of them caught fire while charging. Earlier, Ford had planned the Escape PHEV's production for spring but pushed it to the summer due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ford India to Launch 'Endeavour Sport'; Price Starts at Rs 30 Lakh
Ford India is all set to launch 'Endeavour Sport' to compete with the other SUVs like Toyota Fortuner TRD, Mahindra Alturas G4, Tiguan AllSpace and the forthcoming MG Gloster. Reportedly, the Endeavour Sport will have more athletic appeal with black colour and 2.0-litre EcoBlue diesel-engine. Besides, the cabin features will also get an upgrade. The vehicle will be priced between Rs 30-40 lakh.
