Foreign Minister Jaishankar Meets Singapore's Finance & Health Minister

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on November 19 met with the Singapore Finance Minister and Health Ministers of the city-state in the country. At the meeting, Jainshankar exchanged views on the growth prospects of bilateral ties with Finance Minister Laurence Wong. EVM Jaishankar To Visit Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan & Armenia Next Week

Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar is set to visit Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Armenia from October 10-13 to strengthen the bilateral ties of India with the three countries. Jaishankar will first visit Kyrgyzstan to meet his counterpart and the President. He's also expected to sign some MoUs. On October 11-12, he'll fly to Kazakhstan to attend CICA's ministerial conference. Furthermore, he'll visit Armenia to meet his counterpart and the PM.

Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi evaded answering a question posed in an interview, as to whether he believes Osama Bin Laden is a terrorist or not. He replied to the question saying "I will let that pass". The interviewer Lotfullah Najafizada recalled the instance when PM Imran Khan  called Bin Laden a "martyr". Furthermore, Qureshi defended Taliban by saying they're ready for peace and that they have "suffered".

G-7 Summit: Indian Delegation Under Isolation After Members Test COVID+

Whole of Indian delegation to G-7 Summit in London have been isolated after two members tested COVID-19 positive on May 4. While Indian foreign minister S Jaishankar tested negative for the coronavirus, all the members of the delegation will now attend the summit virtually. Notably, not a G-7 member, India was invited by Britain. The British government said that ensuring strict COVID protocols, the delegates will be daily tested.
