Forest Fire Breaks Out In Kandi Forest Area: West Bengal
In West Bengal's Murshidabad district, a forest fire broke out in the Kandi forest area, on July 22. Immediately after the incident, fire tenders rushed to the spot. Operation is underway to douse the wild fire. Forest fires are mostly human-made, and some are also caused due to heat. Earlier in May, in West Bengal's Kolkata, fire gutted a clothing shop in Chandni Chowk area.

Massive Forest Fire Erupts In Mizoram; Air Force Called For Rescue
The forests of Mizoram's Lunglei town are reeling through an inferno since April 25. Reportedly, the raging fire has crept in Lawngtlai district as the wildfire burned for more than 24 hours. The incident is believed to have occurred due to Jhum cultivation. Currently, the locals and governments agencies have been trying to tame the flames. Meanwhile, Indian Air Force has deployed Mi-17V5 choppers to douse off the fire.

NDRF Team, IAF Helicopters Deployed To Tame Dzukou Valley Wildfires
To contain the raging wildfire at the Dzukou Valley in Nagaland-Manipur, authorities have deployed a National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF) team along with Indian Air Force helicopters. Reportedly, the fire that started on December 29, 2020 in Nagaland has engulfed the Manipur side of the valley as well.
