Carlos Sainz of Ferrari won his first Grand Prix at the end of an exciting, incident-filled 2022 Formula 1 British Grand Prix. He was hampered by red flags and safety cars, and despite the fact that championship-leading Red Bull's Max Verstappen and title-contending Ferrari's Charles Leclerc were both in lead, he finished first. Red Bull's Sergio Perez finished second, while Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton finished third.

Ferrari's Charles Leclerc Surges To Pole Position In Azerbaijan F1 Grand Prix

Ferrari's Charles Leclerc won pole position for Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2022, defeating Red Bull's Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen by three-tenths of a second. It was his fourth successive pole and his sixth of the season. "I probably did not expect it, because I thought Red Bull were stronger, especially in Q1 and Q2, but then in the last lap, everything came together," said Leclerc after qualification on June 11.

Formula 1 Extends Contract With China Until 2025: Chinese Grand Prix

Making a big announcement, Formula 1 said it has decided to extend the contract with the Chinese Grand Prix to conduct the championship in China until 2025. It had made its debut at the Shanghai International Circuit in 2004 and the last race was conducted in the country on 2019. ''This is great news for all of our fans in China,'' said Formula 1's President and CEO Stefano Domenicali.

Aston Martin Joins F1 After Six Decades

After nearly six decades of its absence, luxury sports car maker Aston Martin finally has joined the coveted Formula 1 as a car manufacturer. Formerly known as Racing Point in F1, the company has unveiled a brand new F1 green colour racing car known as AMR21. Besides, world champion Sebastin Vettel, who quit Ferrari, will be trying his hands on the new car. Currently, Aston Martin is eyeing to participate in 2021 season.

British F1 Racer Lewis Hamilton Signs 1 Year Contract With Mercedes

Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton has signed a one-year contract with Mercedes on February 9. While Hamilton's contract expired in December 2020 and was a free agent until now, the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Team expressed gratitude by welcoming and continuing in 2021. Meanwhile, the 36-year-old British F1-racer is eyeing for a victory in a unique eighth world title, as he will contest in the upcoming season starting in March at Bahrain.
